CFAX host Adam Stirling and I discussed the almost 2000 taxpayer dollars spent, for one City of Victoria employee involved in overseeing land development, to attend a multi-day social event with developers in Nashville.
The event was held by the Urban Development Institute (UDI), a registered lobbying organization on the BC Lobbyists Registry.
The discussion, which can be listened to by clicking on the link below, began on Stirling’s radio show at the 4:20 time point in hour 3 of Nov 25, 2025.

At the 13:05 time point, after we discussed and Stirling reframed the issue for the public after, he said: “There’s an expectation that taxpayers end up paying for it because the taxpayer is to whom we want these people to be loyal.”
