Another tax grab? April Fools is coming, with an information session from the CRD regarding the Regional Transportation Service and the Alternative Approval Process (AAP).

No really, I got this in my email today from the CRD:

“The Capital Regional District (CRD) is pleased to invite residents to an online information session about the proposed Regional Transportation Service (RTS) and the related Alternative Approval Process (AAP). This session provides an opportunity to learn about the CRD’s role in transportation and the proposed bylaw and service.

Regional Transportation Service Information Session

Date: April 1, 2025

Time: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

For those unable to attend, the information session will be recorded and published to the CRD Regional Transportation page http://www.crd.ca/transportation.

The Alternative Approval Process response period will open April 3 and close May 16, 2025. During this period, elector response forms may be obtained online or at CRD Headquarters, 625 Fisgard Street, Victoria from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) until 4:30 pm on Friday May 16, 2025.
